This group is currently for colleagues who lead and oversee professional development at scale, over a Multi-Academy Trust or family of schools
Our Advisory Board exists to provide strategic advice, constructive challenge, and informed guidance to support the growth, impact, and member value of The Trust-wide CPD Leaders’ Forum, a free member organisation designed to harness and mobilise the best knowledge on CPD at scale. The Advisory Board is non-governing and non-executive.
The Advisory Board will:
● Offer advice on strategic priorities and emerging opportunities.
● Provide feedback on member needs, engagement, and initiatives.
● Act as a sounding board for new ideas, services, and potential challenges.
● Advocate for the Forum and support its visibility within relevant networks.
● Offer sector insight and connections to support the Forum’s development.
● Members are appointed based on their experience, expertise, and commitment to the Forum’s mission: “ To harvest, cultivate and mobilise authentic knowledge of professional development for sustainable system-led improvement”.
● Membership is voluntary and unpaid.
Sam Twiselton is an influential education leader and policy advisor, best known as the founding Director of the Sheffield Institute of Education and a key architect of England’s Initial Teacher Training reforms. She has chaired national advisory groups and shaped teacher development policy at the highest level.

Professional Curiosity: Her career reflects a relentless drive to explore innovative approaches to teacher education, curriculum design, and system-level change, underpinned by research and evidence-informed practice.
Kathryn Morgan is an education and leadership specialist with a background in teaching, policy development, and workforce strategy. She has served as a school leader, Director of Professional Development, and now advises on national policy through ASCL and research dissemination projects.
Professional Generosity: Kathryn actively supports schools and charities, designing impactful professional development and mentoring leaders to thrive in challenging contexts.
Professional Humility: She approaches leadership with empathy and inclusivity, focusing on creating cultures where teachers and students flourish rather than seeking personal acclaim.
Professional Curiosity: Kathryn’s passion for evidence-informed practice and her engagement with research projects on sustainable school leadership reflect her commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Jim Rogers is a respected education consultant, leadership coach, and former system leader with experience spanning teaching, academia, and executive leadership. He has directed national leadership programmes and advised multi-academy trusts, local authorities, and global organisations.
Professional Generosity: Jim shares his expertise widely through coaching, bespoke leadership development, and oracy programmes, aiming to leave individuals and organisations stronger than before.
Professional Humility: Known for his “no gimmicks” approach, Jim prioritises evidence-based strategies and openly acknowledges the challenges leaders face, fostering trust and transparency in all partnerships.
Professional Curiosity: His work demonstrates a deep interest in organisational culture, resilience, and equity, continually seeking innovative solutions to complex educational challenges through research and practice.
